What, REALLY!?
There wasn't this much love for Haiti, or the OTHER countries that suffered from the tsunami.

I fail to see the purpose for this...

Sadly, there wasn't so much love for Haiti, that's true. I hope this first book will be the first step for such movements. Don't you?

c'est une discussion que j'ai eue avec *Azram : mettre el-sense à disposition d'un projet humanitaire, qui serait mené par qq de différent à chaque fois..
et ça pourrait donner 2 ou 3 livres par an..
j'aime bien cette idée..

Where is the book for Hati? Or the other countries that are in danger?

So because we create the first book, we get stoned because this is the first one?

That is not what I am saying and you know it. When the other counties were in danger, like Hati for example, no one drew art. No one made books. But when Japan got hit, all the weeboos and creeps got up and arms. Most doing it for the wrong reason IE: No more anime! Or, I see others get a DD out of drawing something for Japan, so I'll do it too!

Now, do not get me wrong. I am not saying you do that. I was wondering where the book was for the other countries that were in danger.

I really hope, there will be such books for other countries, sure.
A couple of members have got the idea and offered their group gallery for collecting freely offered works.
I didn't think we could achieve something like this before and I would offer my art if it could help people in distress and this first book is the proof it works. Isn't it?

So far, it doesn't look that way sweetie. Everyone is swept up in Japan. Whether for their precious anime (I kid you not. Some are scared for their programs), a DD or because they think Japan is the greatest place in the world. I have only seen one piece of artwork that said pray for the world.
I am not saying there is nothing wrong with the book. I am just furious that most people on here drawing for Japan for the wrong reasons and no one want's to bother with our other countries in need.

Plus this is nothing more then another cash cash grab.

There has to be a first time for everything, isn't it?
Is there's ONE association where you know where your money goes to this is the Red Cross and here all the benefits will go there.

I see. But still. You have to admit that Japan got more attention then Hati ever did, plus if anyone needed and still needs money it's Hati.

Japan has lots of money but it's the basics like food, water, blankets, etc that they really need.

Haiti got attention too, maybe not on dA, but I would have given as much to Haiti, the same way if one would have had the idea of a book I can offer my art to. But sadly nobody on dA thought about this then. I hope this first book won't be the last one.

Me too. I hope that the next time this happens to someone else that they, too get as much attention as Japan. But I highly doubt that will happen.

I'm thinking that people care so much about japan is because of their precious animnu and stuff.

I bet you thirteen points that next time something like this happens to a place other then japan, that no book will be made and hardly anyone will care.

Well, this book isn't about animes or anything this kind: works given are mainly photographic here.

You buy a book and money goes to the Japan red cross.
This book is the collection of works people of dA have offered for this purpose. You may object why not to other causes, Haiti for example? Yes why not? This first one was for Japan and I believe it's the start for such brotherhood movements.

Well we have been 101 artists offering one of our art piece for making this book, which will bring money to the Red Cross for the catastrophe in Japan and you find it ridiculous? What's wrong with you?
I find this beautiful and look at this book, it's an unique art collection by itself.
